My grandfather was also in the U.S. Army based at Fort Ord in Seaside California. My uncles and aunts married white, black, Mexican, and Filipinos.I have mixed and pure Pilipino cousins.

It is a shame that the proponents of the so-called PUV Modernization have trampled and trashed our Philippine cultural jeepneys like it was never part of our heritage. Instead, they replaced it with an overpriced China made mini-buses. Someday, the Iconic Philippine Jeepney will be reborn.

It's ridiculous to say that South Korea wouldn't see the light without the Philippines' help in the Battle of Yultong. It was certainly not the Philippines alone. In fact, the US played a central role, and other nations were also there to support, but the Philippines still made a significant contribution. The fact that it was the first Asian country to respond to the UN's call for help only showed how much it empathized with South Korea. The Filipino soldiers courageously risked their lives to defend another country, despite not being great in number. In 2013, South Korea reciprocated by donating cash assistance and sending in troops to help the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Their medical team stayed long even after other foreign medical teams had left. The volunteers also participated in rebuilding homes and schools in towns ravaged by the typhoon to help the Philippines' recovery. See? There's actually no point in hating each other. Let's all aim for peace. 🇵🇭🤝🇰🇷
